WatchWatch
I found Danny making this in the Sawtell common room.  I thought it was really cool.  Bennington offers a class in instrument making.  Makes me wish I studied music.

Falafel for Lunch!
Just overwhelmed with joy that my favorite Bennington meal was served at lunch today! So I thought I’d share the joy with folks via the blog. Bennington falafel lunch is the best, totally delicious. They set up a little make-your-own bar with pita, lettuce, tomato, tahini and of course FALAFEL! I ate so many, that I didn’t have room for Pasta Night that night! Next time I’ll...

The Bennington Radio Project →
At the end of last term, a few friends and I decided to embark on a project to create public-radio style audio content about and for Bennington. Even though I’ve always had big plans for this project, I’ll admit I’m a little surprised at how far it’s come in so little time. We just released our first podcast and on April 7th we’re hosting a live storytelling event in...

Some nights are for making your own
I’m personally a fan of the Dining Hall here. Some days are just great. Personal lunch favourites include spring rolls day and the vegetable quiche. I was particularly enamoured by this herbed mozzarella and spring mix salad.  Dinnertime can be equally great with all around favourites like Palak Paneer and Taco Night. I’m personally a big fan of the coconut braised salmon and the...

Stars and Galaxies homework
Here is an answer from my astronomy homework. My brain hurts. But the answer’s correct! 32.       A)        (4.56 × 109 yrs) (3.15 × 107 s/yr) = 1.44 × 1017 s                         (1.44 × 1017 s) (6 × 1011 kg/s) = 8.64 × 1028 kg                         (8.64 × 1028 kg) / (1.9891 × 1030 kg) =  0.0434             B) 4.34% of Sun’s mass has been consumed over the past 4.56 billion years,...

All roads lead to Joyce. Or was it Rome?
So, lately the phrase “all roads lead back to Joyce,” has been coming up in my  daily conversation.  (He and his work have infiltrated my life.  I’m ok with it.  I love James Joyce, but that’s not what this is about…)  It just got me thinking, yet again,  about how connected everything can be, especially here.              Let me just walk you through this particular web of...

Signs of spring!
I love Bennington during springtime. Some of the things I can’t wait for: The bird that sings a song outside my window that sounds like ‘CHEESE-burger’ Is it a blue jay? The purple crocuses outside of VAPA The Sustainable Food Garden to start sprouting veggies!  To study on the lawn Animal sightings: white-tailed deer, turkey, groundhogs, bunnies… The beehives buzzing...
