Anonymous asked: I'm so impressed with Bennington's website (: It has beautiful backgrounds. Okay, so the context is that I'm an international student, & I've done one year of LLB Law in a UK University. I'm on a year off now to apply to liberal arts colleges; I once gave up the dream for my parents & now I'm back on it ! So I'm wondering if it's better to apply as a...
Anonymous asked: Hi there! I was accepted EA to both bard and Bennington, and now I'm having a really tough time deciding. I'm leaning more towards bennington at the moment, and I guess my question is, what makes Bennington different from other small liberal arts colleges (like Bard)?

Anonymous asked: Being in the Pacific Northwest there is a culture saturated in beer and brewing. Oregon State has one of the few fermentation science options (a subset of food science and technology degrees), but there seems to be interest at other institutions to possibly develop such programs. Does Bennington have any interest in this? Would a Bennington education offer anything unique to this area of study?

Anonymous asked: Do people bike around campus to get to classes?
Anonymous asked: It's been mentioned that getting/registering for classes might be difficult (although you guys helped make mroe sense of the rumor) but I've read that students are often pushed or encouraged away from what they want to study and often end up taking classes they aren't good at and therefore fail.

Anonymous asked: i am super interested in Benn, but I'm worried about the girl-guy ratio. Girls: other than mike and evan, are there too many girls and not enough guys?
Anonymous asked: Is it true that the "dorms like palaces" reputation is a little outdated and alot of the rooms are getting converted to hold more people?

Anonymous asked: How are the international students at Bennington? Where are they from?
Anonymous asked: I read an article (which was, admittedly, very angry and possibly not altogether fair) that says that students at Bennington are really pretentious. I didn't get that feeling at all during my visit. Does that change once you're a student?
Anonymous asked: HOW'S THE FOOD?
Anonymous asked: What kind of clothes/shoes would you suggest someone who's new to snow/cold weather to get for Bennington?
I just heard the great news that Mary Terrier ‘10 just won first place in The Austin Chronicle’s annual short story contest! This is only the second time she’s entered (she won an honorable mention last year)!
You can read her story, “To Need, the Women Say” in full here.

I am now in my final days of what has been an amazing winter in Brooklyn, NY. What better way to top it off than by seeing the organization I am interning with appear on BBC news (I have a small cameo if you watch closely):
