That is a good question. Of course it is difficult to describe a large group of people, but I believe that students at Bennington can be described as driven. We choose the courses we want to take here, so we are passionate about our work. Students work in many disciplines, so you will encounter passion in all fields of study. 

In addition to being passionate, I think that Bennington students and faculty are friendly and approachable. Of course it varies from person to person, but I feel comfortable seeking out the majority of students and professors to talk about my work and their work. There is a lot of collaboration, sharing, and critiquing that happens between students and between students and professors (within and outside of classes).
