MUN? Mutant Undercover Nannies? As seen in the 24 hour plays? Major Underwear Neurosis? As covered by our health plan? Massive Undertakings of Nutella? A common indulgence of Bennington students? Men Undergoing Nausea? As experienced by men who realize they are the only man in a quarter mile radius? Municipal Underground Nuances, referring to our atypical varied interests? Many Unusual Names? Pineapple bean calypso for dinner? Yes please! Or Model United Nations? I am assuming you mean the latter. Bennington does not have currently have a MUN though the symposium in CAPA would be perfect for it (click here)! If you are interested in starting one, it would be pretty easy to do so. All you need to do is fill out a form in Student Life and get it approved (I see no reason why a MUN would not be approved). All official clubs get $100 funding (snack party!!!!!!!!) for the term. On to the safe question…There are no safes in student housing. You can lock your room with your room key. Most students here leave their room unlocked most of the time which is a testament to how safe people feel on campus. Students respect one another’s space and don’t rifle through each others belongings if a room is unlocked. I leave my room unlocked pretty much 24/7, often with my laptop in plain sight, and have never had a theft issue. If you are concerned, you are welcome to keep your room locked or buy one of those small safes.
