How selective is Bennington when it comes to admissions? I've thought about applying, but I'm very hesitant and have had a lot of feelings of trepidation about it. I've been told I'm a bright student, however, I have my doubts and I fear I will come across as mediocre at best. — Asked by Anonymous

Sooo, there’s something my mom always said when she was trying to get me to do, well, anything, whether it was eating salad or taking a gymnastics class. “You’ll never know unless you try it!” That’s probably a terrible analogy because I’m still not very fond of either of those things, but seriously.

APPLY. Give it a shot. Even if the outcome isn’t what you’re hoping for, you’ll have written some interesting essays, had a cool conversation or two with an admissions counselor, and you’ll know you conquered your fear. DOO ITTTT.

If you need any help or advice going through the admissions process, definitely feel free to email me at liamd@bennington.edu
