What kinds of organized, international travel opportunities does Bennington provide? — Asked by Anonymous

Every few years, Bennington organizes a trip abroad for Field Work Term (our 7-week internship period in the winter). This winter, I went to Spain with a group of 11 other students and 2 professors to study drawing, architecture, and art history. We spent 2 weeks in Barcelona, and 1 week traveling through Granada, Cordoba, and Madrid. The pics above are of my friend at me at the Alhambra in Granada, and a window inside Gaudi’s Casa Batllo in Madrid.

A trip like this is a wonderful opportunity to travel and learn abroad with a group of friends and professors. Our activities, living situation (we had a great apartment in Barcelona), and some travel were organized in advance by the professors, which was a tremendous organizational gift.
