Bike Powered Craziness
Chris Larson, a fellow member of the Bennington Sustainable Food Project is incredible when it comes to reassembling bikes into functional machines. This weekend I asked if I could take a closer look at the bike powered blender he just constructed.
When I tried it I was impressed by how easy it is to use. You just pedal, hold down the blender and adjust the gears as needed. Here are the beautiful plans Chris drew out. 
In the works is a bike powered washing machine…
And for the future a bike powered grain grinder! Pretty soon everything on campus is going to be bike powered.
