Megan Mayhew Bergman, who is a Bennington MFA grad from 2010, and currently a literature professor here, has been getting a lot of attention lately, both from her students, and from the press! Her collection of short stories, Birds of a Lesser Paradise, was included in a list of 18 must-read books for March on oprah.com, and received a glowing review from the Boston Globe. Now in her second-term teaching at Bennington, her reception on campus has been just as positive; as a literature student, I’ve been hearing a lot of great things about her from many of my peers. I look forward to studying with her in the future.
