Today I got a super exciting email from Crossett Library informing me that my interlibrary loan book was in and I could come pick it up. When I did, I was told that because it was from the Library of Congress, I couldn’t take it outside of the library. Kathy Williams, the interlibrary loan librarian, and I looked it over and thought it didn’t look quite like the book I had wanted. So I went home to see if I’d made a mistake, and already had an email in my inbox from Kathy saying she had figured out that she ordered the wrong book on accident, had just ordered the right one for me, but that it might not be in before Thanksgiving and she was sorry for the delay.
I have never met librarians this on top of their game IN MY LIFE.
