So here’s a confession: I adore puns. Somehow they’ve ended up with this reputation as the lowest form of language, but I always stand in awe of the intellectual backflips they require. Imagine my delight, then, I when I heard that Bennington was hosting a Festival of Wit. It happened a few weeks ago, and here are the highlights:
Our very own Ellen Bogen dazzled the crowd during Stand Up Comedy Night.
There was a very “intents” winning pun about camping (courtesy of my wonderful friend Gale Stafford.)
Andrew Boyd hosted a workshop with students about how to design thoughtful, powerful  direct action about issues that matter.
James Geary, who is teaching a course on aphorisms, juggled and explained the five laws of the aphorism AT THE SAME TIME.
