So how exactly does the moving out situation work during FWT? Is there a place on campus where we can store our stuff or do we need to find our own storage? — Asked by Anonymous

This used to be worse, but the college just moved to year long housing, and this process is going to be a whole lot easier next year. Yayyyyyyy.

If you live in a Colonial House you won’t have to move out at all (whatttt). If you live in one of the other two kinds of houses, you will have to move out : ( but the college feels bad about it now, so they supply packing materials, and storage will either be in the house, or they will provide transportation. Plussss you get extra money your house budget.

Seriously guys. This is amazing. Everyone who complains about the administration - this is a huge change for the better (albeit a long time coming), but GO STUDENT LIFE.

Is it true that at the end of the term, students have to move all of their belongings out of their rooms and into storage? Is that ever annoying? — Asked by Anonymous

It is true that we have to move out of our rooms at the end of each term. It can be annoying having to navigate the storage of belongs, but for me that feeling wore off after the first move. Once you get into a groove with how you pack and unpack (e.g. more plastic boxes, less items), it will be less frustrating.

Another note on moving at the end of terms- you don’t have to stay in the same house or room from term to term, so you have the opportunity to change your living environment each time. In the spring, I’m going to stay in the same house but live in a different room with a new roommate, which I am looking forward to.
