There’s a lot events happening on campus right but I wanted to give a special shout out for an event my lovely roommate Casey Wait and her counterpart Alex Hovet have been organizing as their final project for Social Practices in Art.
Who doesn’t want to take a break from paper writing to ride around on a renovated school bus hearing stories about transience and travel?
See you there!

Next Thursday my friend Jason and I (AKA the Bennington Radio Project) are hosting Thread, our semi-regular storytelling night. Students, professors, administrators, and staff are invited to tell true stories on a theme (this time it’s “Why Me?”) All stories are live and told without notes and it is always impressive how many great storytellers there are on campus!
Note: The poster is hard to read because I had to resize it and the highlighted section looks funny scanned. But this is as artistic as I get and I’m proud of it!

These photos are from the recently held Thread storytelling event. It’s part of a project that myself and Ellie Shenker 12’ started last year to produce public radio- style content. At Thread, we invite students/faculty/staff to come tell true stories live on a theme. The theme for this Thread was ‘In Transit.’

As a part of my tutorial on sound design, Cauly, Ellie, and I hosted a live storytelling event on campus. We modeled it after The Moth, where people tell true stories live and without notes. For the Moth@Bennington, we had faculty and students tell stories on the theme ‘Not what I expected’. All of the stories and storytellers were great and we’re planning on hosting another event soon…
